Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick our son up from daycare. His excuse? Fighting in a battle in World of Warcraft was far more important and he had to stay absolutely focused. Our son had to wait for two hours. FML

Today, my boyfriend taught my son to do his chores. Not real chores, but "Runescape chores" on my boyfriend's account. My son won't pick up his toys or put his shoes away, but he'll jump on the computer to grow plants or cut trees or some other stupid shit. FML

My mom (who I no longer see thank god) forgot my sister and me at elementary school for 3 hours one day and it was one of scariest times of my life. Luckily my dad saw us waiting outside while driving by (my parents are divorced) and picked us up and took us to his house.. Thankfully he was at daycare and not just waiting outside. Sorry to hear about this! So sad. Kids are always #1 priority!

Aren't there some daycares that call child services if your child is left there too much longer after they're supposed to have been picked up? I've heard of that somewhere, but it's been a while so I don't remember where. I think Florida though.

I wouldn't say OP's boyfriend is a child. Just that he seems to be overly addicted to the games he plays and needs help getting unaddicted (Or whatever the word is). It's not like he needs to stop playing them completely, there's nothing wrong with having gaming as a hobby (And in some cases, it can be job) (I can say this because I'm a gamer myself), but when it gets to the point where you're ignoring and neglecting your kids, you need to tone it down.
