Today, my boyfriend grabbed my love handles. It tickled, so I giggled and squirmed out of his grip. He looked at me quizzically and said, "I'm surprised you still have feeling there with all that fat." FML

that's so sad, baby. what a sad guy. and FYI it shouldn't matter if a girl has love handles or anything like that. the guy should love the girl for who they are not what they look like (: #justsayin'

I'm not quite sure why this made FML; unless, of course, he was being very rude about it. Otherwise, there is absolutely nothing wrong with love handles, unless you actually weigh 350lbs or so.

maybe it's an FML because the boyfriend is so stupid he thinks that nerve endings are all underneath the fat? haha I don't know, but it didn't sound like the boyfriend was being intentionally mean about OP's love handles. I guess if she's sensitive about her weight or is in the process of trying to lose weight, it might make her feel bad, because girls tend to be pretty sensitive about stuff like that, and guys don't always realize they're saying something that will be taken as offensive (actually that goes both ways, but whatever)

You shouldn't change yourself unless you want to. Dont change who you are or what you look like for other people. :)

Your boyfriend is an idiot. Whether you're fat or not, it doesn't make your nerve endings unable to function. You don't lose your sense to touch/feel when you gain weight. Durh-hurp on his part. If he "liked her fat", though, why would he even blurt out a comment like that though? Even if he was seriously curious, that seems like one of those thoughts that should be kept to yourself. It's not funny; it's insulting. How come when someone insults a fat girl, it's funny and cute, but when someone insults a really skinny girl everyone suddenly becomes sympathetic and shocked? We all have our issues, but should someone be bullied and degraded as a person simply because their eating habits suck?

that is such a mean thing to say! I hope he realized it after abd Saudi he was sorry..
