Wait. He randomly got upset that he had to meet her? If you didn't bring it up, I don't understand why he'd be upset... That confuses me. Still sorry she's dead, and that he's stupid. FYL
Pretty sure remembering if your significant other's parent is dead is not difficult. That information would stick with me.
I would tell him you've made arrangements with your mom for them to meet, then take him to the cemetery. He might become a better listener then. And I'm sorry for your loss OP, I don't know how long it's been but the pain gets easier to deal with as time goes by. Good luck Mr sensitive.
It has been four years
asorry for your loss OP. forgive him. it was an honest mistake
All I'm hearing is excuses, because you're embarrassed of him, and how completely stupid he apparently is.
The only thing I remember from my first date with a girl is her cup size. Try telling him important things when there is some blood left in his brain.
True. First date - smiling and nodding but probably not listening much. Or perhaps my hat places too much stress on my brain..
welp if he can't listen break out the Ouija board or take him to the cemetery

He sounds like he is very attentive!
Hopefully he manages to get that detail to stick soon. -_-
