Apparently hair-color is imp[ortant to him (your boyfriend, OP). And since his ex had the "right hair-color" -- why else would he ask you to dye it similarly, unless he wanted you to dye it so that he could've used that as an excuse to break up with you -- he should be [back] with her, instead of you. You deserve better, OP. :-)
