I changed all my male contacts on my phone to females for this reason! I wasn't deleting them because he wanted to play the jealous card!!

Just wait until he starts cutting up your clothing he deems "inapropriate," keeping track of the mileage in your vehicle, to make sure you are going where you say you are going to. Not letting you go outside unescorted...etc Or you could avoid that mess and dump him.
