Maybe he cares about you more than a funeral. And only sees you in his eyes and couldn't resist another moment. Or maybe he thought it was "romantic". People think of weird places to propose sometimes. Lol, anyways, I hope all goes well and he's the right one.
Maybe he had been wanting to and then did it there when he knew you were upset so he could cheer you up
I was going to say that maybe the death made him realize he doesn't want to wait to propose to you, but even if that was the case, I think he should've respected the other funeral goers by waiting until after the funeral. Unless there were some REALLY unique circumstances, I don't think this was appropriate.
Oh my god....
Congratulations!
I actually understand him, maybe reality hit and he finally realised life isn't forever and that life is valuable
Talk about killing the moment!
Seems insensitive and disrespectful but some people will see it as a way to get something good out of an awful situation. People are either gonna hate him for it or think that the person who had passed away would have been happy and pleased for you two and glad that you're happy! Anyway, best of luck either way!
Depending on his thought processes...he's either a completely worthless clod without an ounce of empathy and social skills, or he's a very deep man with a big heart and big soul and I hope you said Yes. Death can make us treasure the living, and the love at a funeral can bring out love in people. At that moment, he may have realized just how important you were to him, that you have a limited time on Earth, and, as the others have said, didn't want to lose a single moment with you. That, or he's an idiot and a clod. I don't know whether to tell you to run from him or into his arms, but for your sake...I hope you found a sentimental and sweet man!!!!!

Maybe he didn't want to live another second without being married to you.
Perhaps he takes "Til Death do us Part" very seriously..
