A person with chlamydia will find out, at the most, 2 weeks. Most people find out within 5-7 days. It is not an STD that lies dormant like HPV or Herpes does. No sympathy for cheaters. If you've only been going out with your boyfriend for that short amount of time you shouldn't be engaged already. If you haven't been with your ex since you've been with your new fiance and it's been more than 2wks then you have nothing to worry about.

Yes, Lot of people do not show symptoms since this is called a silent disease and also the most common, however those who do show will have symptom

My husband is a Navy corpsman and I know he has a lot of experience with giving these kinds of results to Marines and probably other corpsman as well so I asked him. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt so hopefully OP just doesn't realize it's not a dormant STD and the ex is lying. I can't stand cheaters.

Well how do you even know you got it? Assuming there was quite a bit of time between your relationship with him and getting proposed to by another guy so wouldn't hasn't noticed symptoms before. you should get tested and if positive tell him. Most likey he has gotten it too

And to the people 'it sometimes does show symptoms' that is less than 15% of the time, thats like saying rabies sometimes won't kill you for up to a year, its highly unlikely.
