Today, my boyfriend read online that oversleeping has been linked to strokes later in life. He's now taken it upon himself to protect me by making sure that I have as minimal sleep as possible. FML

Find an article that shows getting woken up by your BF a lot and not getting to sleep in or get much sleep leads to an increase in break ups or hospitalization due to severe foot to groin contact.

Atleast he cares about you by not wanting u to die of a stroke later in life

Two can play that game. Wake him up even earlier.

He may be caring, but he's also stubborn and stupid. If he's so sure he's right, let him let him bet his car insurance premium on it: you drive HIS car.

how sweet of her ,how painful for u! fyl

You need to have a nice long talk with your boyfriend and explain that lack of sleep is just as hazardous to your health as excessive sleep. Not to mention there are many factors for stroke, of which excessive sleep is probably way down on the list. And his waking you up repeatedly is going to be dangerous for his sex life.

Lack of sleep is shown to cause gains in weight, increased blood pressure, anxiety, depression, poor metabolism, irritability, and most obviously exhaustion. Only extreme amounts of oversleeping can increase stroke risk.

That's a...sweetie? I love you? But if I don't get sleep? One of us will die...
