Today, my boyfriend sent me a text telling me to turn the radio on to a certain station. When I did, there was a talk show on, and the host was ranting about how important it is for women to control themselves and not be emotional. My boyfriend continued texting me, asking if I was listening. FML

Yes, it's very important for us women to not be emotional and to just shut up and listen to our men. Emotions, you see, are not natural parts of life, but irrational outbursts that we must learn to control! Your bf is a jackass.

I don't know just how emotional you are, but there is definitely such a thing as being too emotional, so maybe that's what your boyfriend is trying to tell you. Seriously, not everyone likes a drama queen...making a scene out of every little thing just makes you look stupid. A few days ago, I heard 2 girls at my school fighting cause one bough the same shirt as the other without realizing it. It was even a different color, and the one who had it first was accusing the other of copying her and tried to make her return the damn shirt and apologize for buying it. People these days...xP Point is, just try to let things go sometimes, always listen to the other side of the story before jumping to conclusions and making accusations, and know when it's appropriate to share your feelings, and when it's just not. I'm a girl....I know we can be emotional, and while we can't control our emotions sometimes, we can usually control when we show them, and who we show them to.

Holy shit. Not only is that awesome, but to the talk show host- Right on dawg. God, I totally know what it's like to deal with females flying off the handle, and I can actually play it both ways--logical or emotional (economics major, but also grew up with 3 sisters). Women can be like minefields sometimes.

haha! hey, it was probably hard for him to come out and say that you were being emotional. Seriously, how do you tell an emotional person they're being too emotional without hurting their feelings? Doing it this way, at least he was trying to be funny. just take it as a joke and maybe take a few pointers on what the station said. and then get him back the next time he acts immature ;)

I'm 5000 times more emotional and bitchy than any girl I've ever met. It would be okay if the host didn't direct his comments at women... Sure, women shouldn't get too emotional. Does that mean it's okay for guys? Your bf is a dick, I hope you emotioned the **** out of him.

Do the following. 1. get angry at him immediately. 2. dump him. 3. rant about it on FML. 4. do exactly what the radio told you not to do. voila! I'm not on your side, apparently.
