It's really hard when somebody you love does something that makes you feel so low about yourself. Walk away from him. If he really loves you, he'll find a way to buy that ring himself.

question, did he say buy yourself a ring or pick out a ring or even use a joint account to purchase it with his money? buying a ring for someone is one of the hardest things because you don't know if they will like it.

Did you demand the expensive ring he couldn't afford, resulting in him proclaiming you should buy your own ring? Or is this honestly all that was said on the subject... because it sounds like you're either desperate or have unrealistic expectations. one of the two...
