Today, my boyfriend told me he was going away for the weekend to go clubbing with his mates. I would be fine with it, except the mates he's going with already tried to get him to cheat on me. FML

Today, my boyfriend went to his friends house to drink. He told me he’s a happy drinker, and I believed him. He calls me drunk about three hours later and tells me he’s been thinking about cheating on me for a long time, and that he also thinks about "being with other women." FML

No need to worry, OP; there's plenty to do while clubbing besides dancing (and eventually having sex) with strangers. You can also drink (and eventually have sex) with strangers, use the filthy restrooms (and eventually have sex) with strangers, and listen to terrible music (and eventually have sex) with strangers.

That is not okay, OP, and don't let the comments here normalize this behavior by saying it's okay if he hasn't given you a reason to believe he's a cheater or tell you to trust him. You have a valid reason to be concerned.

I would tell him that There are some things that are just not acceptable and I have been I your shoes. My man is still bffs with the Asshole, but there's no way in Hell any club night's or any of that is happening now.

If you trust him, then there's nothing to worry about. If you don't trust him, then why are you still with him? If he's going to cheat he'll do it where-ever he is, away or at home.
