I imagine his comment didn't mean the literal term of "you're ugly" More-so he appreciates YOU for who YOU are No light=no bias from how someone looks. He probably was merely stating that he thinks you "look" best without said biases, such as brand name clothing or make up, or anything about your physical appearance. Basically he was calling your personality (essentially YOU) beautiful. If you can't step back and consider what else it COULD mean, perhaps you shouldn't be so hasty to post it on the World Wide Web for thousands to see. But perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps he DID mean what you're thinking. Who knows but him? So logically, the best thing to do would be to ask, no? And if you can't trust him to be truthful with you, perhaps you two are too immature to be dating anyways.

However mean it could have sounded, that wasn't necessarily what he meant. His phrase seems to be a denotation of wanting to have sex with you. And even if that wasn't what he meant maybe it was just a little joke, he probably didn't know his girlfriend lacks sense of humour, hence, stop assuming things so fast and taking everything said as an insult.
