Today, my boyfriend took me to my first session of Dungeons and Dragons, which I had been excited about for weeks. I picked it up quickly, but my rolls were so bad that I "embarrassed" my boyfriend. He won't be taking me to any future sessions. FML

Time to roll up a new boyfriend, and make old boyfriend an npc. D&D is not about winning or being able to magically roll dice better. It is about having fun and being creative with friends. Also, the point of dice is that they are random, and their results are not the responsibility of the player. If you like DhD, see if there are any local gaming groups that understand about cooperation, role playing and storytelling, and having fun. Maybe you'll even find a new boyfriend that doesn't attach his ego to your random dice rolls.
