Wow lots of these stories lately. Guys just don't touch the animals, leave em alone :]
GO **** YOURSELF BITCH
aw I feel bad for the bird..
LOLL definitely. I bet the impact killed it anyway after your "light toss" (seriously?)
What the hell you doing throwing the poor thing?? It would have probably died of shock if your cat hadn't got at it!
this is the second time today that i've had to call peta. your ass is grass when they get there, buddy!
What that's not true? Sorry to say but you release scents that the mother bird picks up on. How about you try a little experiment before calling people idiots. Most animals won't take back their young if humans have touched them.
No that's a myth - but a damn good way to keep people from meddling with nature. Poor little thing was doomed anyways.
62 - No, it's not true at all. Look things up on Snopes.com before you go believing ridiculous things. Not to mention that birds don't have a sense of smell worth crap.
#62, voultures are the only known birds that can smell. I doubt that anyone would be able to touch a voulture baby, anyway. Don't test my bird knowledge, I will win. =)
Lol #113. I know exatly what you are saying and BTW, swans have really sharp beaks, so be really careful if you ever try that.
Hahaha point 1 for the person spelling vulture right
Lol. I can't wait for some idiot to say "If you touch a baby bird, the mother can smell you and will abandon it." I
That's horrible. A bird is not a human.
Yeah, they often die! And besides the point, what on earth was the OP doing throwing a bird around while a cat was in the vicinity?
Thank you!! Okay, you went a bit too far with the insults, but I do see so many people coming in where I volunteer (wildlife rescue center) with wild animals that they've found injured or ill, kept and tried to look after and made it worse. They've then had to bring it in as it's gotten worse and more often than not, if they had brought it in straight away, if could have gotten the right treatment asap and been fine and be released soon afterwards. But because they've had it for a day or two, it just progresses towards more pain and often death. It does make me sad to see these poor animals suffer, but I know people don't mean to make it worse, they just want to do something that helps. Which is where I can see the OP coming from. Until her tried helping it fly while a cat was around! Lack of common sense or what?
Dude thats ****** up. Reminds of PETA comparing the holocaust to chicken processing farms. And no he doesn't deserve it, it's not his fault his cat ate the bird.
birds are light and even if it can't fly it will most likely land okay, unless there's a cat, lol.
Fish gotta swim, bees gotta buzz...and cats gotta eat. Sorry, man.

it probably died after you "lightly tossed" the damn thing. birds are fragile, you can't just throw them.
