Today, my brother and I were talking about Ebola, when he says he would love to have the disease because of how famous it would make him. Plus, his college essays about him "fighting through the disease" would be "phenomenal". FML

You should tell him that the disease literally makes your blood boil. Probably one of the most painful ways to die

Well, he wouldnt be famous for very long...

What's the point in being famous if you're not around to enjoy it. Or if he is around and survived like he assumes, what's the point of being famous if he has lifelong complications and health issues and can't enjoy it. Trust me, you cannot put a price on your health.

So your brother is pretty much asking for a death wish

Guess no one told him about the 70% mortality rate

Ebola isn't a disease its a virus. You know like Swine Flu? Its treatable with vaccines yet no vaccine is made yet. He is stupid for wanting it

..."Ebola isn't a disease it's a virus" REALLY? Being infected by a virus is classified as a disease. Other than that you're completely right though :P.

The condition of having Ebola hemorrhagic fever is literally called Ebola virus disease. Just going to throw that out there.

"It's treatable with vaccines but no vaccine has been made yet," doesn't the last half of that sentence make the first half pointless? Plus, I'm pretty sure you can get plenty of other diseases/conditions/syndromes from any damage the virus causes.

72, Viral infections can only be treated with vaccines. Other medicines can treat the symptoms, but not the virus itself. Therefore the only medicine that could be made to cure or prevent Ebola directly would have to be a vaccine, however, there's been no vaccine made yet. Any other medicine just helps the body remain strong enough so the patient can live long enough to combat the virus with their own immune system. I think that's what she meant.

He is going places. Not college but places.

Until he bled out the eyes and died like that dude in Texas and eventually his nurse.

Stupid as that would be, he does have a valid point.
