That's stupid. Cats don't think. Tired from exhaustion? Maybe. A mini stroke? Maybe. Died and came back to life? Probably not but maybe. Played dead cuz you were annoying it so you would leave it alone? No

Actually, cats do often use ignoring as a way to manipulate people or show their displeasure. This is just an extension of that. My cat always plays hard to get and ignores me whenever I've been away for a while. They are accustomed to receiving a certain kind of attention and if they don't get it, they react by not giving any back.

76- are you retarded? Cats have a frontal lobe and a neocortex, just like us. If they couldn't think, their relatives wouldn't be able to manipulate and stalk large beasts. This kind of goes along with what deloria was saying.

My cat does that to my daughter sometimes. Or she'll hide in a place we can't get to. Cats are like that. They are anti-social and will deal with you when they want to. Don't take it personally.
