Today, my ceiling fan was rocking violently so I turned it off. I stood under it trying to figure out what the problem is, it fell on my face. FML

Stood right under it, did ya? Guess you're not a big fan of common sense.

Sounds like you're starring in a Final Destination movie.

Here we come Final Destination 5! And love the username

And now you have an eye patch, and a gimp leg... in about a month you will realize your gimp leg is dead and will have it amputated, then you will get a peg leg(because you can't afford a prostetic limb) and be known as calico jack the pirate

DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARE A PIRATE!

YDI for standing under something with a mechanical problem.

So you were wondering what was was wrong...then it hit you

Sounds to me like you need to go find 2 more stooges and get the old act back together. Ydi for being dumb enough to stand under a loose ceiling fan.

Haha that's the reason why I don't want a single ceiling fan in the house

reguler ceiling fans only weigh 5 pounds at most, its mostly plastic and light wood, for those ppl saying the op is slow, i dont know how high up your ceilings are but mines like 8-9 feet and im 6 feet tall so if i wasnt expecting it the fan would easily fall the 2-3 feet to my face before i could realise it, and move, you could probly move somewhat but it will still hit you on the way down, on the other hand of common sense, i think anybody would assume the fan was loose if it was shaking violently and making that noise so the op should have stayed at arms length of it and held it up in case it did want to fall the op's speed is not an issue, just their common sense, but theres no reason they should have died its not that big of a deal, i could have my fan fall on my head and just brush it off

i dont need to think that long to understand things unlike you people who take 2 seconds to read part of an fml and make wild assumptions

I feel your pain OP. Ceiling fans make me so paranoid. But standing under a malfunctioning fan wasn't your brightest solution.

Dang! I'll bet that hurt pretty badly! Hope you're ok yo!

Ouch!! That probebly wasn't the smartest thing to do tho...

it's a good thing he turned it off first though otherwise that could have ended a whole lot worse...
