Today, my co-workers agreed that I was the one causing the elevator to be over its weight limit. When I protested, saying that I only weigh around 150 pounds, one asked me if that included the weight of my wheelchair. They made me get out. FML

Elevators were designed for handicapped people . Tell their lazy asses to get out and take the stairs ......

Such rude people. What goes around around :) so dun feel too bad :)

Your co-workers are A-holes. Next time you pass em, wheel your chair over their foots. Fckn idiots.

It continues to blow my mind when I hear stories like this. People are despicable, and this is a prime example of how shitty the human race is. Did they even stop to think of how incredibly rude and thoughtless that would be? Im thinking a few slashed tires and a tire-rod to the face might make them think twice.

If someone needs that elevator it's you, duh! They should'nt be so lazy and just take the stairs!!

Obviously the wheelchair bit makes it worse, but this reminds me of when there were five of us in my friend's car, and she was worried about the suspension. They all agreed that I should get out to lighten the load, even though I weighed the least by far. People are dumb.

Thank you to everyone who supported the OP in this one. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and it is incredible how often incidents like this happen to us. It's not enough that our daughter will never walk. We have to tolerate derision from strangers as well. We would do anything to be able to take the stairs with her, but we too have been pushed out of elevators so the able-bodied would not have to exert their fat, lazy asses by using the stairs.
