Today, my dad borrowed my new iPad to amuse him while he was in the shower without my knowledge. The iPad is now completely ruined, and my dad is refusing to buy me a new one. He says, "How was I to know that it wasn't waterproof?" FML

your dad is an asshole! never let him touch anything of yours ever again.

YDI it for having an iPad. They're all pieces of shit. FYL for having a dad as stupid as that.

oh my god. iPads are actally good for work, gaming AND reading. It's seriously EXTREMELY as a tool. I'm even using mine right now.

Perhaps not for you, 61, but I've stopped using a traditional computer since I got my iPad. It's all right not to want one yourself — it could very well be useless for you — but if it is excellent for us, don't try to convince us otherwise. It seems so juvenile to say, "I know what's better for you than you do!"

I think I'd have to hit him...really, really hard.

when i see FML like this i totally call bullsh1t. a parent that is so completely rude and stupid that they break a $600 piece of equipment (lame equipment, but still...) and refuse to replace it? really?......REALLY?

Don't call fake just because something lies beyond your range of experience. Count yourself lucky that your parents wouldn't do such a thing, and that you haven't encountered any who would. I definitely do. Unfortunately, I have friends whose parents would probably do something like this or worse.

tell him to stop whacking off to ur shit.

lol you can press destruction of property charges, call 911 and say your dad broke something you bought with your own money

You don't call 911 for something like that. that's abuse if emergency services, genius.

I agree. You go down and file a police report for destruction of property. That is not abuse of emergency services
