From personal experience, you can get a solid idea of what kind of character a person has by their handshake. I wouldn't necessarily call someone a "queer" because of that as some gay friends of mine have a good handshake, but I would definitely keep an eye on him, without being obvious about it. That limp shake tells me that he really doesn't have much care or respect, and that can usually foretell a lot for relationships of any level.
A man will never leave a lasting impression without a firm handshake. Although gay maybe a bit far.... Maybe.
I hate how handshakes are considered so important in judging a character. What if you have arthritis? What if you hurt your hand or are otherwise disabled? What if you're sick and don't want to get anyone else sick? What if you're a germophobe? Shaking hands is a ridiculously unhygienic practice anyway.
OP should have warned her boyfriend that her father is a raging bigoted asshole. If not, then he should dump OP.
Yes, but to accuse him of being gay, just because he was nervous to meet his girlfriends dad? That's just being a jerk.
I judge people with limp handshakes. Handshakes are not meant to be delicate. I don't want to feel like I'm cradling your hand and then stroking it as we pull away.

Tell your dad "Fortunately for me, he's other thing isn't too limp". I bet he won't think he's a queer anymore!! He might kill him tho...
I hope you prepared him before.
