Today, my dad offered to pay me $40 to wash his car. Needing money to buy a video game, I agreed, and went out in the freezing weather to do the job. I finished the task, only to be paid in Monopoly money. My dad still hasn't gotten over how "funny" his prank was. FML

Your dad is an ass. He played dirty - so can you. Switch the monopoly money for $40 plus an additional fee $10 for having to collect for yourself, and then splash mud all over his car. Hopefully it'll teach him a lesson about proper parenting; what goes around comes around.

80 - The kid is going to be a brat for playing dirty back? Okay. The old man is acting like a brat not getting over his prank. If I had a child, I would jokingly hand him Monopoly money, laugh for a few minutes, then give him his well deserved money.

The thing is, I don't think I actually see this as a prank in the funny sense. If this story repeats itself, I'd be afraid this father is teaching his son the wrong lessons in life about work, honesty and earning money. I would want my future kids to grow up learning that if you put in a good effort, it'll pay off - not that cheating, going back on your promises and abusing others to your own gain are the ways to go.
