No 243, everyone has the right to some privacy. When I was in school, my parents 'tossed' my room every couple of weeks. They were looking for: 1. birth control 2. alcohol 3. drugs 4. pot 5. cigarettes 6. a note from a boy. They would never have found any of those things because none of them were ever present in my room. I had absolutely no interest in drugs, alchohol or smoking and I had neither the inclination nor the opportunity to participate in sex. I was hideous so if a boy sent me a note it was full of hate, not a declaration of love. That did not stop them from trashing my room and leaving the mess for me to clean up. They would go through all my school work, mixing up my notes and assignments. I was very neat and organized, but every day I had to go through all my things, putting all the English assignments back into the English folder, etc. I discovered this to my horror when I went to my first class of the day one day, opened up my Spanish notebook and found my English paper, due later that day. Thank God I had Spanish first or I would have taken an "F" for work I'd actually completed because my dad rooted through my things and stuffed everything back where he jolly well pleased, not where he'd found it. I don't know why he bothered to attempt to put my schoolwork away. They'd go through my room like a tornado and leave everything everywhere; drawers were turned upside down and emptied on the floor, the closet was gutted and everything dumped on the floor, the bed ripped apart and left for me to re-make. Anything they found that they didn't like (makeup, clothes) they trashed or my mother stole for herself (I say 'stole' because typically the item was purchased by me with my own money). I stopped buying makeup and decent underwear because she stole it all, leaving me cheap junky makeup and ancient, threadbare undies. I had panties where the elastic was so far gone they could only be worn with pantyhose or be pinned to my pants or they'd fall right off. I treated myself to new ones and she grabbed them all, claiming she needed new panties too. I had to dig my clunkers out of the trash or go commando. The tossings were to remind me that I was their chattel, that I had no personal rights or privacy, and that they just knew I was really garbage and one of these days they were going to find the evidence and then I could kiss my life goodbye. Everyone was allowed to walk into my room or into the bathroom on me without knocking, since knocking was a 'warning' for me to hide my dirt. That meant I could be observed at any time doing the most personal things. Many a time I changed tampons, changed clothes, etc. to an audience. I did nothing to deserve this level of scrutiny. It was like being in prison. Even if the OP is the biggest piece of shit who ever breathed, which I doubt, the OP is still entitled to personal space and to not have school work thrown in the garbage.

It does help with drawing anatomy. It might also be a required course - I have to take Life Drawing I and II to get my BFA.

Same thing happened to my friend who is in an advanced art class. Their grandmother came over to his house for dinner, and she burned them. She was up in his room looking around at things. They weren't even nude pics. Some people are stupid. Needless to say, he almost failed the class, but his teacher understood. Their teacher is probably one of the nicer teachers.
