Today, my entire junior class took the ACT. On the last test, a classmate's phone went off, automatically invalidating the whole test. We all have to retake it. FML

Wow, that is a ridiculous rule. At least you know how to get your score dropped if you think you've done poorly

Yes well this is very reasonable - clearly the ringtone gave all the answers to the test in a warped version of morse code - everyone in the class understood it which is why they were all made to retake. That or the mobile phone signal activated the chip planted in their heads. It is not like there are phones in the real world - we need to keep tests as realistic as possible guys.

Why did he have his phone with him? In New Zealand we have to turn them in before going into the exams

OP said that the owner turned in a duplicate phone so he could keep his actual phone to cheat.

More proof that Americas school system is ****** i realy hate my school all the teachers are smart asses that are on a power trip and lets not get started with the school board.

Yeah, I mean your comment is proof. It's Amarica's, not Americas, and i is supposed to be I. Just saying.

When I take my state tests, our phones, devices like my laptop, and even headphones were confiscated. Even my friend's Beats Pill had to be taken away. That seems much smarter than letting them keep it on them (or flushing it.)

I would beat him because that's bullshit they tell you that will happen and no one wants to sit thu three more hours of ******* testing

Hey. At least some moron didn't pull the fire alarm during your test, invalidating the entire school's tests.

I wouldn't blame you if you kicked his ass.
