Soninuva tells us more.
OP here. It wasn't a mistake, I was getting ready and they said they were leaving. I told them to wait, and they said they wouldn't, as they were already late. Ordinarily I am very punctual, to the point of being early everywhere. I wasn't that day, because the time had been moved, and nobody told me. Originally it was going to be at 6:00 pm, and they moved it to 3:00 pm. They didn't wake me until 2, and didn't tell me that it had been changed until they were saying to hurry up a few minutes before. I was asleep because in addition to being a substitute, I work at Toys R Us, so even though I'm off for one job, the other is stronger than ever. The days leading up to it I had worked two fifteen hour days, then the night before an eight hour one, where I got out around 1:30 am. My dad came back after 15 minutes, so it ended up working out alright, but I was mad as hell.

Next time they need a ride tell them to use the bathroom before they leave and drive away.

That totally socks. (I'll leave now)
Please do.
He would but his family already left.
At least you can ********** in peace now.
Nope he can't cuz he already put his socks on.
I bet OP didn't shoes to be in this position. (I'll leave for real now)
You should have left the first time...no humor at all.
I disagree with #12. The first comment about the socks was very funny. Keep it up Clock
next time leave without them while they're doing something quick.
I hope they realized their mistake or that you contacted them, OP! Hope you had a good Christmas!
That was mean. They get you socks for Christmas, then leave when you try to put them on

It's great that they returned eventually, but so messed up that they left so hurriedly in the first place, knowing what you went through earlier! I hope the time spent at your grandparents was great, and I hope your Christmas went well!?
they should've still waited
Doesn't matter that you had valid reasons to be late. That was still a crappy move by your family.
Should've said screw it and kept sleeping.
#33 Hell yeah! That's what I would've done. I'd be like: "Sweet, I've got a free day. Time to raid the fridge and play some video games."
They shouldn't have to wake you up. who stays in bed until 2 anyways. ydi imo
You're an idiot. OP just said they work two jobs and have recently been working hellishly long shifts and just got off a night shift. If you too lazy to read the whole comment you shouldn't be allowed to reply to it.
Thank you! May you as well! This actually occurred last year (as did my comments on it, excepting this one, and any further ones). FML likes to occasionally spotlight ones which the OP commented on at a later date.
Do all parents just do this thing where they assume their offspring knows what is going on? Can't say I've ever been left behind, but I have had the whole 'Right, let's head off' thing, and I'm not even prepared...
if it took 15 minutes to come back, then the stunt made them half an hour later than they would have been. So they cut off their own noses here.
Gotta say, that was a crappy thing to do. Seriously. They couldn't wait the ONE minute it took to put on your shoes and socks?? Glad they came back, but really, communication, it matters!
