Today, my fiancé's grandmother kept trying to introduce him to this "simply absolutely amazing girl," who she thought "would be just the perfect date" for him. At our engagement party. FML

The worst thing that could happen would be your fiancé listening to her. Just ignore her :p

I'm pretty sure OP's fiancés grandmother was only being nice (: It's not a big deal

How is trying to introduce OP's fiancé to other girls in an obvious and probably futile attempt to end the engagement "nice", exactly?

What's a "simply absolutely girl"? I feel like a word was missed lol. Anyways, that still blows. FYL

Anddddd I'm an idiot. Posted a similar comment to one that was already up there. Thumbs down, on the double!!!

Make sure when you give her grandkids that you wind them up on sugar before you send them to grammy's house

The OP is already ******* her grandkid. You mean she should give her hopped-up great-grandkids! Didn't mean to go all Genealogy Nazi on you (That's a Grammar Nazi, once removed.)

oops you're right I apologize for that mistake *shuns oneself* this is what I get for commenting right when I get up

33- I would like to add "golly gee wittakers!" to your previous comment :)

Old people forget stuff. But what sucks is that no one around them that's family wants to see the change.

I wouldn't worry, she's a old.. I think that's excuse enough.

Unless she's got Alzheimer's being "old" is no excuse for being downright rude.

So are we just supposed to let every elderly person off the hook for rude things they say just because they're old? Just because they're old doesn't make it an excuse to let them get by with everything. If an old man robbed a bank, would the police say "Oh, we'll let him get by with it, he's just old." I don't think so. :P

Not quite, 63. My grandmother has dementia, but it's not Alzheimer's. They're similar, but still two different things.

Oh gosh. It was just sarcasm.... Clearly an epic fail though hahah

Tell the grandma you found an *amazing* retirement home.

How did your fiancé handle the situation? Who cares what his crazy grandmother wanted? If your fiancé showed respect towards you and told her, "Not interested, Nana." That is what matters.(:

I can't imagine what she'd do at your wedding.

Probably get trashed and deliver an awesome toast.

But then it wouldn't be on FML for all of us to enjoy.

Hopefully his grandmother will one day see how amazing you are for him!
