Who goes on vacation for just one day? It sounds silly to me; she may as well make the most of it while she's gone. It's like the guys that go out the whole night with their friends to a strip club and don't show up until the crawl down the aisle. She may just be doing the same thing. But seriously, sorry that this had to happen so suddenly.
