If she broke it off with you, she should have returned the dress, or paid you for it. If you broke it off with her, well, then her wearing the dress is her choice.

It sounds to me like you dumped her because of how this is worded so she moved on and put the dress to use. instead of buying another dress she used one she already had. I don't think you should be surprised she married someone else because it sounds like you dumped her out of no where. Did you really expect her to wait 5 months till you decided all the sudden you wanted her to see you again out of nowhere? It just sounds like you left her, you saw her happy with someone else, now your jealous and want the dress back, but maybe that's just my interpretation of it.
