Today, my four-year-old daughter called me by her mom's new boyfriend's name. Three different times. FML

At four years old, they're bound to repeat everything they hear. Especially names being loudly screamed from behind Mommy's bedroom door.

Here's a perfect opportunity for a "Fatherly teaching moment"..."No Sweetheart, That's not his real name...From now on, call him '**** Knuckle!''

Maybe see can hear her mom calling him daddy through the walls... FYL

You just need to talk to her, talk is everything.maybe there're some other reason

Maybe the boyfriend is doing a better job then you are. Lol

She's only 4, it's bound to happen. What would make it even harder for her is if the guys name is something close to Daddy (like Danny) for example, for a four yr old, it can be confusing. Don't take it too hard, little girls love their daddys, not mommys new bf.

My four year old calls me daddy and grandma sometimes. It's kind of an age when mix ups are inevitable. I'm sure that it's tough emotionally, but if you try to process it intellectually it may be easier for you. I'm sorry that you have to process it at all.

I'm sorry but if it was your biological daughter, wouldn't she call you dad?
