As a child of divorced parents, don't take it personally. It's very confusing and a difficult time. Kids get caught up in the moment and at 4 have a very low capacity to think before they speak. It just comes out.

Come On. My daughter always mixes up her dad and step dads names. She even calls me by her dads name when she comes back from a visit. They are children. Creatures of habit. It's hard to adjust to everything all the time. Don't feel so down. It happens. A lot.
