If he is that insecure that he didn't trust you enough for you to fully explain and then have an actual adult conversation about it, then I say you're better off without him personally,
Hes allowed to be a little skeptical in this situation
On the plus side you now have advice to give your friend. Try apologizing to your boyfriend, and explain the situation in full to him, including the names of your friend and her boyfriend. It sounds much less sketchy when you are specific about which friend has you googling suspect topics. Also, reassure him that if you ever did break up with him, you would do him the courtesy of telling him directly, face to face.
Your boyfriend sounds very mature. If he genuinely thinks his relationship with you is in trouble why is he wasting time sulking?
The other day, I was thinking to myself how sorry I feel for people who are genuinely asking for a friend and well...there it is.
have the friend explain
Just have the friend explain it to your boyfriend Or if she texted you just show him the text

Should have just told your friend to google it. Why couldn't she do it herself? Just have your friend talk to your bf
Probably should've just said which friend it was for off the bat so it sounds less like you're lying/hiding something.
