Today, my girlfriend and I were waiting for the bus. The weather had been cold and snowy recently, and I realized I'd forgotten my transit card. She nonetheless got on the bus without me. I had to walk it alone in the snow. FML

what's funny about this is the double standard. if a guy had left his gf everyone would be up in arms about how she should dump him but if it's a guy then he's a little bitch for complaining. for all you women out there who want sexual "equality" remember this: equality is a two way street.

Nice girlfriend, really? just leaves you there?

Eh, maybe she just assumed that you were like most nice guys and would have wanted her to still ride the bus without you, anyway. I know my boyfriend would, so it wouldn't hurt his feelings any if I did that to him. And if you're not that kind of guy, then you're probably a jerk, so you deserved it.

Wht a shallow girl. tisk tisk.

So you would rather your girlfriend be freezing when she could be warm? Man up.

Pretty ridiculous so many people agreed with with the girlfriend leaving him there. Obviously single losers or stuck up bitches. Hope you have a new girlfriend.

Ummm. Ok, is there a particular reason you couldn't have actually paid cash to ride on the bus? I know we have cards to ride on buses here too, but not everyone takes buses all the time. For the one off, or occasional user the bus driver must surely accept cash payments? Between the two of you there wasn't enough money for one bus fare? I'll assume obviously not. I agree with other posters here. Regardless of whether gentlemanly behaviour, feminist leanings, recently snowed or ridiculous blizzard, I wouldn't leave someone to walk by themselves. Even if it was just a friend. To be honest even if it was someone I only just met and we were in a big group. Still wouldn't leave someone. Regardless of sex. It's called being polite. And yes, I'm sure it would be more comfortable on the bus. But I would rather have the company of my girlfriend in the snow, than be alone on the bus.

**** that. Cold or hot, if you are with someone, even if its just as friends, you dont ditch them unless its like an emergency.
