Today, my family staged an intervention and demanded I go to rehab. Why? My mom found 'drug papers' in my car. It was a receipt from a routine drug screening for my job. It was also over two years old. FML

Today, my friends staged an intervention. I'm not on drugs, I'm not an alcoholic, and I own my own house. My car is paid for and my job pays well. Apparently, I need an intervention because my life is not where they want it to be, which involves me being married with children. FML

Today, after six months of dating, my girlfriend decided to break up with me because my "obsession" of being on the computer and playing games all the time was cutting into "our time". She then told me to "get a life" and never wanted to see me again. She told me all of this on WoW. FML

Today, my parents staged a family intervention and gave me the grandest bollocking I've ever experienced in all my 22 years of life. They did this because my sister showed them a photo of me jokingly posing with three bottles of Bud Light at a party. Apparently, I'm an alcoholic in denial. FML

If your parents AND your girlfriend felt you needed an intervention, then you are spending far too much time gaming. It is an addiction just like drug abuse. Time to take their advice, get some help, and get a life. A real life, not an on-line life.

What is up with these WoW obsession fmls? I dont understand how people can even get addicted to that. Even though I haven't played it I've seen my dad play it and it looks stupid.So everyone with those weird obsessions I have one thing to tell you GET OVER IT (sorry I like to rant about video games)

Looks to me like you have an obsession as well (ranting about video games). I find it funny how gamers can completely understand and be cool with non-gamers, but all too many non-gamers obsess over hating games and talking shit to gamers. It almost seems that many non-gamers have a bigger problem than most gamers. So, to you #102, get over it. Grow up and realize that everyone's taste is different.

tell them to get a life and stop worrying about you. I have a.full time job, go to school full time, have a fiance, and train for the marine corps no sweat. with all of that I still have level 80s that run ICC. tell em I said to kiss my ass right after you tell em to kiss yours.
