A gas mask may prevent something as large as, say, a bacterium or a virus even ... but a single radioactive isotope? lol, no sir ... no, gas masks can't do that. They are not some magical good in / bad out machine. They work predominantly by, and generally exclusively by simple size exclusion principles. So you are wrong, and more wronginger even for calling someone out for being right.

gee and how small is a single isotope my friend ugh your just as stupid as the guy your criticizing an isotope isn't any particular size it is a function of the molecular makeup of the particular radioactive item. meanwhile yes hepa masks can filter out alpha and beta particles and while they may stop a gamma emitting particle it wouldnt stop the radiation being emitted by it due to wave length

Dude, an alpha/beta particle isn't dangerous by itself. The danger is the isotope radiating those particle; ie the radioactive iodine.

Education in Texas is a joke. Having a large city does make up for low test scores (which are getting lower) or a Board of Education that wants to "revise" science and history to remove facts. As Patrick Star once said, "Big ol' stupid Texas".

85- you're an idiot and should probably look at REAL info! I have lived in Texas my entire life aside from part of my freshman and senior years in HS. During those times I lived in different states on either coastline, AND I found that these schools in other states were actually teaching very 'dumbed down' curriculums compared to the schools I grew up attending! Truth is, anywhere you go there are idiots, and everywhere you go there are bad education systems, so don't hate on texans just because YOU'VE never experienced or understood the greatness of the Lone Star State! (PS one of the schools I went to in another state that was a joke was actually in one of the best funded school systems in the US because of their incredibly high taxes)
