I know I couldn't date someone who wasn't at least appreciative of Harry Potter. For those of us who literally grew up with it, I can't go a day without involving myself in it in some manner. The book series really means a lot to some people, and that does make it an issue of incompatibility in some cases if someone hasn't read it... Or doesn't want to. It doesn't mean it's the ONE thing to base a relationship off of, it's just that it can be an important one.
