To clear things up, I have been in love with her for 3 years, and we've been dating for 2 and a half. She's always seemed happy, and said that she wouldn't date someone she didn't have feelings for, which is why this came as such a shock to me.

how is she foolish? you have no proof other than she read something that she took as a sign to better her life. if that makes someone foolish I'm a downright moron. I told my best friend of 7 years that we couldn't be friends anymore because she was toxic all because I watched an inspiring movie. Best choice of my life.
