Today, my girlfriend started a huge fight with me over how I don't have the right to have close female friends anymore. She ended up storming off, and won't return my calls. But no worries: she did just play the word "murder" in our game of Words With Friends. Very comforting. FML

No none. The boring fact is they're just friends, we have a coffee after work now and then, and sometimes go to the bars for a few drinks. My girlfriend usually comes along, but when she doesn't because she's busy, and I still go anyway, it's like WW2.

I honestly can't stand girls like that. When you're in a relationship, you can not tell your partner who they can and can't be friends with. You do not own them. You can recommend they avoid certain friends if you have solid reasoning, but it's still their choice.

Hm, I suspect there might be a little more to the story than one might think. On one hand, OP's girlfriend could be a total control freak, has major mental issues, and definitely should see a psychologist--otherwise, she may just be somewhat insecure and OP constantly flirts with his female friends, making her feel bad. Hopefully OP can clarify on this. It seems, though, that she's taking this way overboard even if it was the latter case--she should just have a talk with you.

However there is a difference between close female friends and girls u just met yesterday and u want to go hang out w because u think they are hot.. The female friends that u have had since middle or high school I could understand but just meeting someone at a bar and expecting her to be okay w u hanging out w them w out her being there is a little harsh
