Today, my girlfriend told me she lost her phone and not to call or text her. After about three hours, I text her phone, asking if she found it yet. I got a reply, saying "Nope." FML

Could have been a stranger who had picked up the phone, not knowing what to say to a random stranger and thinking a vaguely witty 'Nope!' would be the best way to solve the situation and to, sort of, be helpful? Optimistic, but I'll be the first to put it out there.

why would she ask you not to call it or text it if it was lost? If anything, texting and calling it would help you find it. I don't think she was telling the truth from the start. the whole "Nope" thing confirms it.
