Today, my girlfriend told me that once you love somebody you can never truly fall "out of love" with them. She wasn't talking about me, she was talking about her ex. FML

Not true though, but the only advice I can give you is just try moving on, and you'll eventually find yourself falling for someone else

Apparently you can fall over and break it though. My advice is **** loving her and move on. You just got saged.

What goes up must come down...

Agree with her and then confess your love for one of your exes too. :P

Ah yes, the jealousy gambit. Totally classic.

Why would she get jealous? Unless... she's a hypocrite.

I've had a similar experience before. My advice is to get out before you build more feelings for her. If her ex tries to get back with her she is likely to leave or cheat on you.

She's not totally wrong. You're likely to still have some kind of love towards them. It doesn't necessarily mean that you need to maintain any kind of relationship with them..

relax op. she is right, but that doesn't mean she is going to run back (doesn't mean she won't either) but seriously though, look at the cotext of that whole conversation, and trust your gut. if you think that she is cheating (provided you don't already have trust issues) you are probably right and should cut her loose. but don't do it just because she still loves him

I get what OP's girlfriend was saying. You can still love them as in want the best for them. I want all my exes to live happy fulfilled lives. Happy and fulfilled about 23765 miles away from me.

Sorry OP end it with her before she hurts you.
