Today, my grandmother called. She greeted me by my mother's name. When I told her it wasn't my mother, she apologized and corrected herself, but this time she addressed me as my sister. When I told her it wasn't my sister either, she said, "Sorry, wrong number" and hung up. FML

Maybe you should have tried telling her who you were, instead of who you weren't. Doesn't mean your granny has a sucky memory.

i agree with #8. if i were to call someone's home, and ask for two different people, and all i'm told is "no" i will assume that its the wrong number. only if you said "no grandma, mom isn't. no grandma, she isn't here either," then u can say your grandma forgot you even existed, or maybe just didn't want to talk to you.

I hope you told your mom that happened. It needs to be addressed. you shouldn't be left feeling that way. Maybe you or your mom could tactfully address grandma, and remind her there is a second girl! and old age is no excuse to forget your family

Old age IS an excuse. Sure, it doesn't feel nice, but it's not like the grandmother could help it.

My grandparents do this too. Except I have a voice that is worse than that kid with a really high voice.
