Today, my hand was stung by a wasp. It has resulted in all my fingers being swollen and therefore much bigger than usual. I'm getting married tomorrow and there's no way I can get the ring on my finger. FML

It's okay! As emergencies go, yours is pretty easy to deal with. You could put it on a chain and have your significant other put it over your head, maybe? Whatever ends up happening, congratulations on the marriage!

Hey if you read this before tomorrow put a penny on it, or chew tobacco. Chewing tobacco makes the swelling go down.

... OR, OP could just take a Benadryl/antihistamine and put some hydrocortisone cream on the sting and ice it? This isn't the Wild Wild West.

@OP Just admit you intentionally sought the WASP out cause you got cold feet in becoming a bride. lol

this happened to me a few weeks ago, took about 3-4 days for the swelling to go down. try benedryl and icing.

just wait till the swelling goes down then put the ring on ur finger. I'm sure she will understand. congrats and best wishes!

Have your husband buy a cheap replacement ring that'll fit for the ceremony, once your swelling goes down you can do the ring exchange all over again!

If nothing else, use your right hand for the ceremony, no one will even notice!
