maybe your dogs knew the robber......
hahaha
Well that sucks, but i have to admit i used to work with a crazy nasty Staffordshire Bull Terrier who couldn't ignore being told to sit, it amused me (and stopped me being attacked) every time i had to clean his kennel!
This is why professional trainers will give commands in another language, so intruders can't do this.
Buy a gun
see, my GSD would attack and bite anyone's leg off without me having to tell him to if they came in without a proper introduction from me, beforehand. if someone does, they come in at their own risk since we have signs everywhere warning them. and no, that isn't poor training because he isn't aggressive outside our home. we trained him from a young age to be a guard dog and our house is his territory.
And that's why it's wise to train guard dogs in a different language.
I wonder what the burglar thought about that..poor OP for having such obedient dogs in this type of situation..

That's quite the SITuation.
Atleast they are obedient ?
