Today, my husband admitted that he's been spying on me for the last 5 years to see if I was cheating, out of paranoia brought on by his own cheating for all 5 of those years. FML

that's usually how it goes. Some times the more paranoid a person is the more guilty they are. I'm so sorry for you. I truly hope you leave him. that is no way to be treated.

He was looking for a way to feel better about what he was doing..after spying and coming up empty he couldn't take it anymore. Maybe he felt some form of regret? Although 5 years is just unforgivable. I know it's hard, but I hope you have the courage to leave him .

That sucks I know that feeling. That happened with my ex. For the last year of our relationship she was always suspicious of me cheating on her (I never did) and i always trusted her. She got a text in the middle of the night so i tapped her phone to stop the ringtone and it was a message from my 'friend' asking when she is going to leave me and move in with him. Turned out they hooked up once a year ago and kept seeing each other.
