Today, my husband and I went to marriage counselling. I confessed something that was bothering me, but he didn't understand. Our counselor repeated word-for-word what I said right back at him. He turned to me angrily and shouted, "Why couldn't you just say that the first time?!" FML

Good to see communication in your relationship is a ten out of ten

I hope your councillor let him know his actions were uncalled for. I hope that it helps, but unless he wants to be there with you there is a high chance it won't. I hope he starts putting in the effort before your marriage pays for his behaviour.

Your husband is a fool. Males like him are not considered men in my book.

put a shirt on, then tell me that.

Perhaps he meant "why couldn't you just say that the first time it bothered you rather than just now?"

This reminds me of an episode of The Nanny. Sometimes it's easier for a person to hear it twice especially from a professional. Im not sure why exactly, but don't get too worked up over it. He'll come around eventually I hope. Best of luck to you both. :)

Doubtful your counselor repeated what you said exactly, and in the English language just a few words being different is enough to clarify or change the sentence completely.

lol this has happened to me a lot. working with the public shows you that all the stupid people some how have the most money too.

The fact you told him you were sucking another man's dick may have not registered the first time around.

What an asshat. Sorry op hope he gets his shit together or a hearing aid or both :-)
