Today, my little sister came home crying because someone had shown her a video about the Slender Man. Trying to calm her down, I explained to her that he wasn't real, just like Santa Claus. She looked up at me and said "Santa's not real?" It's been 3 hours, and she hasn't stopped crying. FML

Oh great. First she gets the shit scared out of her, and then you ruin her childhood. Why don't you just tell her there's no Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy and get it over with.

Thank God for this thread, I thought I was one of only a few "weird" people who grew up not believing in Santa. I remember telling a whole classful of people that I've never believed Santa was real and they were like: "Wow, you must've had a terrible childhood", I couldn't help thinking "No I didn't".

64- Have you not read the previous comments? Slendy isn't a German myth. Being that I'm half German I think I would know, don't you? The German myth has a different name, and a slightly different story. Besides, Slenderman was for a CONTEST. He fabricated from the human imagination.

Guess she won't get to witness an epic battle between Slenderman and Santa Claus any time soon.

137- It's possible that it WAS a German myth, and someone used the character in a different way for the contest.

You're a horrible older sister... not for telling her Santee Clause isn't real, but for lying to her about the danger of Slendy. He's out there; and he's watching.
