This better be on youtube!
( I hope I'm not thread jacking.)Our teachers made us take down the videos two classes made of the dance from YouTube, claiming we were desecrating the honor of the school they graduated from. They even threatened to expel the people who uploaded them and any other person who tries to take part in any of these projects. Both videos were successful on YouTube with more than a thousand views. :(
I don't see a point in it though, yes the Harlem shake is an epitome of human ridicule at its finest, but that doesn't mean putting threats against it are going to stop it. If anything, it just makes it wanted more by the majority.
A thousand views isn't very successful on Youtube. Try 1 million.
I hope he wore a horse head mask.
77- You seem to think they go to a public school. A private school can and will expel students for stuff they do outside of school if it makes the school look bad. My school has a kind of morality clause in the student handbook which we all have to sign along with our parents in order to attend the school. They have already expelled a couple kids for stuff they did on YouTube/Facebook/Twitter.
77and 79, true I am at a private school in Lebanon, and likewise we too are forced to sign a student handbook that no one( not even the teachers sometimes) reads. This video was done in class during school time, but during a period in which teachers were on strike( such that they supervise us, but do not teach). The teacher approved of he video before it was taken and even took part in it and was mentioned in the description. As for copies of the video. They still exist, but on the cameraman's camera.
Why so manh dislikes
just laugh it off op at the rate these Harlem shake videos are popping up on the web your company's will just be another grain of sand in the desert and consider the pelvic thrusting an endurance exercise for when you get to sleep with your bosses wife.
Agreed. Laugh it off! Don't be such a downer.
your boss is ****** in the head
Why would you even say no to the Harlem Shake? It's just a bit of fun you party pooper!
Because it's really, really stupid, most likely.
well then I prefer to not grow up.
Actually, I kind of agree. The series of Harlem Shake videos I just watched do look idiotic but the amount of time it takes to film that thing is not worth calling in a lawyer and potentially losing the job.
Well, you got your 30 seconds of fame.
Dang right, I'm going to look this up on YouTube...
You were born for the part bro.
I don't even get the whole point of it!
I'm having doubts about your workplace NEEDING a Harlem shake video for "the company" to the extent that termination is a reasonable punishment for not wishing to participate. You should've said no and then called your lawyer if you got fired.
Calm down, yeah?
I nearly lost 5 years of age at "lawyer".
what if he's working for a company that produces parodies and such of viral videos?
I was joking. I hope those companies don't exist haha
