Every one of you saying that the mom is entitled to the dress because the mom brought OP into the world and paid for her growing up, etc. etc. are idiots. 1) mom chose to have the child and it's pretty illegal after that not to feed/clothe/house a child so it was kind of NECESSARY for her to pay for whatever the OP needed when she was far too young to have a job. 2) a vacation is not a right or a necessity in any way, we can all live perfectly healthy lives without a single cruise in the Caribbean. the same goes for a slinky red dress. the mother did not need the trip ESPECIALLY if she did not have the funds to pay for it herself.
