Today, my mom cooked her dog some potatoes, carrots, beef, rice and peas. She cooks better food for her dog than she will for our family. FML

Than learn how to cook if you're so disappointed! I cooked for myself growing up because both my parents worked and couldn't make dinner... I started when I was in late elementary age. It's not that hard. There are people out there that don't get a meal at all. Be grateful for what you have!! So I don't know why you're complaining. My 8 year old can make an easy meal for himself.

yeah, but it doesn't hurt to learn. My mom was the same way until she went back to work. I'm still not allowed too cook when I go to visit, I have too cook before I go to visit. However... she can always talk to her about it, or offer to help cook dinner and give suggestions as to what OP wants for dinner. If nothing is mentioned, nothing good happens.

my mom does the same, she cheats and puts microwavable dinners on the skillet. while she makes this whole gourmet dinner for the dog
