Today, my mom has been calling me every ten minutes, asking me questions about her new computer. She called me at work, and I rudely answered her question. She called back, talked to my boss, saying she was a customer that called in, and I was rude to her. FML

Today, my boss yelled at me, telling me that I can't answer the phone anymore. Not because I do a bad job, but because a co-worker whined about it being her job. People call her and complain about how rude she is and then ask to talk to me. FML

Today, my mom called while I was at a job interview. I ignored the call, but the interviewer was so offended by the fact I'd rudely left it on at all, that he threw me out. I found out from my mom later that she'd called to wish me good luck. FML

Today, while out to lunch, my sister called me and asked me to pick her up from the mall. I told her she'd have to wait. She got pissed off and started cursing at me, so I hung up on her. She called me back 37 times until I answered and yelled "WILL YOU LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE?" It was my boss. FML

Today, I checked my inbox and realized I got an email from a potential employer, saying they were having trouble getting a hold of me by phone. They called while my mom was using my phone to look up directions to a place, and she answered, kindly hanging up when they asked for me. FML

Today, I angrily scolded one of my employees for making an avoidable mistake for the third time. Unfortunately, my mother decided to pay me a surprise visit, and arrived mid-rant. She chewed me out for being mean and made me apologize. Now everyone at work calls me "mama's boy" and nobody takes me seriously. FML

Today, I needed to call my mom to get some info so I dialled the number on my work phone. Not 2 seconds after, my cellphone rang. I got super pissed off because I hate when people call me on my cell at work. It was me. I'd dialled my own number. FML

#16 :: I wouldn't say she's a bitch, but she really overstepped the 'mom' role a bit. The fact that she's harassing him at work in the first place is overdoing it, but to purposely sabotage him? Mother or not, she's out of line. That said, OP, you should consider talking to her about it after work instead of trying to check her on the phone /at/ work.

If you work in customer service, especially for the things she was asking about, whether she was your mother or not you should have treated her like a regular customer, not like your mother. YDI. Especially if that's how you normally talk to customers.

my mom is like that... she doesn't know anything about technology and she asks millions of questions one right after the other even if i just answered it...so sometimes i snap ... and she gets pissy...but i have a feeling she would do something like this...it sucks...sorry that happened
