Thank you everyone for then encouraging words and sympathy for me. I would like to say my mom is one of the greatest people in my life and is very intelligent. She had been dating my dad for 2 years before and they got married and they are still married. She is certainly not a dead-beat mom. I think she was just being spiteful when that happened. She apologized later. She taught me that what she did is not what I want to do in my life. Sure what she said got me down, but outside dating I have a great life!

Wow…standards!!
I don't think that's bad.
How is a MOTHER making her DAUGHTER feel bad and bashing her because she doesn't have a boyfriend or a child at SIXTEEN not bad? That is the complete opposite of what a mother should do and say to their child. Mothers should build confidence in their child, not bring them down over stupid, petty shit like this. My honest opinion is that teen pregnancy should not be encouraged.
MTV makes teen mothers look like royalty. motherhood is hard and any mother at any age will tell you that. mothers are proud of their kids at any age, but i think its a bit trashy to be having sex at age 16, you get pregnant, dont bitch about not being able to go out and be stupid, you have a kid to take care of, you made it, its yoir reaponsibility
Seems to me OP you re a winner either way...
tell her it's not like getting pregnant at this age is so big achievement to be bragged about.. Getting a right man is more important... cheer up
Tell her you don't want to follow in her footsteps. Walk your own path
as someone who has many teen mom friends, I couldn't agree more with this statement. learn from your mom's mistakes
single mom's are taking over the dating website,, don't let your mom corrupt you,, she is a horrible role model
Better moms than 16 year olds.
Dating someone with a kid: like playing someone else's saved game file.
Tell her you don't want to follow in her footsteps. Walk your own path
Don't let her stupid ass comments get to you. I'm proud of you :D There's so many girls out there... that are getting pregnant and are like "OH! TIME TO GO ON MTV, TEEN MOMS!" No. Just NO.
Then don't say anything, just a thought. :)
