Today, my mom told me that if I wanted to commit suicide, I should make it seem like a car accident, and not do it in the house, because she would be too embarrassed if people thought she was a bad parent. FML

Today, I wouldn’t let my sister borrow my car, so she told our parents that I’m depressed and threatened to kill myself, which is a lie. My mom is on the phone to 999 trying to get me a 72-hour psychiatric hold in hospital, and every time I say it was a lie, my dad says I’m in typical denial. FML

This reminds me of something that happened to me. My mom once told me that I shouldn't kill myself because it would be selfish and that she'd be very angry if I did that. I'm just like uhhhh I wouldn't be alive for you to yell at me though.....

Well, she should probably be embarrassed because I definitely think she's a bad parent and I seriously doubt I'm alone. More importantly, OP, if you're depressed I really hope you have someone besides her you can talk to about it. You deserve better.
